Web support for content editors: Powers and responsibilities for event calendar admins

The following rules define the powers and responsibilities of admins for the UI Events Calendar.

  • Anyone with a Hawk ID can log into the system and create an event and assign units to that event, but the event needs to be approved to be visible.
  • Event approval is the primary power of an admin.
  • Admins are assigned to one or more units.
  • Only an admin of a unit can approve an event assigned to that unit.
  • When a child unit is assigned to an event all that unit’s ancestors are also assigned and each level requires separate approval from an admin.
  • The admin of a parent unit cannot approve events of a child unit unless specifically added as an admin to that child unit.
  • Admins will receive an email for every event created in their units AND any event created in any child units.
