The University of Iowa Libraries welcomes inquiries from members of the media.

The Libraries includes seven branches, which are integrally connected with the academic, research, and creative endeavors at Iowa. Librarians are subject specialists trained to serve as expert resources in a broad range of fields. Staff are also involved in providing services that help students succeed, collaborating with faculty, and assisting in classrooms across campus.

In addition, the UI Libraries serve the entire state of Iowa, providing assistance with a broad range of questions, lending materials, and advocating for libraries of all sizes in schools and towns across the state.

If you need assistance connecting with someone or information about anything related to the UI Libraries, please reach out to the Libraries Communications Office at lib-communication@uiowa.edu.

As a state institution, journalists have access to public areas across campus. However, please contact the Libraries Communications Office before entering a library unless a specific staff member has granted permission to visit their area.

Thank you for your interest in the UI Libraries.
