A Post-Comp student is enrolled in the 000:002 Doctoral Continuous Registration that has a minimal fee (for no credit).
Circulation Services
Materials held at the UI Libraries will be checked out and delivered via UPS to the address provided by the post-comp student. Short-term loan materials (videos or journals) are not eligible for this service. Return of the material is the responsibility of the post-comp student and if not returned in person, a traceable delivery system is highly recommended (i.e. UPS or FedEx). Requests should be placed using Smart Search or the InfoHawk+ catalog (both are available from the Libraries’ web page www.lib.uiowa.edu). Choose “Delivery for Remote Users” and enter in your complete shipping address.
Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery Services
Materials not held at the UI Libraries can be requested via the Interlibrary Loan Service. Journal articles or book chapters will be posted electronically and an email notification will be sent. Books or other print materials will be mailed to you, if you are located in the continental United States. Upon registering in the Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery system, please choose “Distance Education or Post-Comp” as your Pick-up Library.
Article Delivery Service
Non-electronic journal articles or book chapters owned by the UI Libraries will be scanned and posted for viewing via the Article Delivery Service. Requests must be submitted via the Interlibrary Loan/Document Delivery system, using your HawkID and password.
