Biographical Note
Patrick Sean Clark received his B.S. from the University of Missouri in 1982. He earned his MFA in playwriting at the University of Iowa. While still a student he won the Lorraine Hansberry Playwriting Award, as well as the American College Theatre Festival's National Student Playwriting Award, and the David Library Award.
Clark has been associated with some of the most popular and critically acclaimed television programs of the past decade. He wrote for shows such as Northern Exposure and The Commish and worked as a story editor on Coach and Evening Shade. He was a consulting producer on Sirens and Sliders and was a supervising producer on Early Edition.
In addition to his
work for television, he has written several plays and screenplays. Sean Clark
is currently the director of the Graduate Screenwriting Program at the University
of Nevada at Las Vegas.
The papers of Sean
Clark consist of television scripts and screenplays that he wrote between 1996
and 1999. The scripts were written for the CBS television program, Early
Edition. One script for that series, written by Carla Kettner, is also included
in this collection. There are also drafts of his screenplay, Black Irish,
which has been optioned but not yet produced.
