Les Cris de Paris. Paris: Chez Marcilly, ca.1825. 1 5/8″ x 1 1/16″. 24 of 28 hand-colored engraved cards showing many sales persons and craftsmen and women with their street cries. In Original cardboard slipcase. One of the most charming miniature items of extreme rarity. The pictures show sellers of sugared wafers, milk, water, umbrellas, cooked pears, coal, matches, peas, ink, etc. and ambulant tailors, glaziers, knifegrinders boot polishers, chimney sweeps, cleaners of walls, and others. Gumuchian, No. 4071: “…illustrees de fines lithographies coloriees consacreeds aux personnages de la rue et aux cris de Paris. De ces cris, combien sont oublies, le marchand de’eau et le marchand d’encre datent d’une autre epoque.”

L’Internacionale. Paris, France: 1966. 55 pp. 2 1/8″ x 2″. COLOPHON: Text consists of the Communist anthem printed in over 30 different languages. Bound in imitation wood with the title printed in white on the front cover and spine. An illustration is printed in black with a red star on the front cover. Endpapers have a very light printing of a musical note sheet. Contains many color illustrations.
