From 1964 to 1996, Books at Iowa, issued twice a year and sent to Friends of the University of Iowa Libraries, described collections and acquisitions on a wide range of subjects. Warner Barnes served as editor from 1964 to 1966; Frank Paluka from 1966 to 1986; and Robert A. McCown from 1986 to 1996. The 65 issues stand as a lasting source of information on the University of Iowa Libraries’ key collecting areas.
