Books at Iowa: An Index

From 1964 to 1996, Books at Iowa, issued twice a year and sent to Friends of the University of Iowa Libraries, described collections and acquisitions on a wide range of subjects. Warner Barnes served as editor from 1964 to 1966; Frank Paluka from 1966 to 1986; and Robert A. McCown from 1986 to 1996. The 65 issues stand as a lasting source of information on the University of Iowa Libraries’ key collecting areas.

Articles are listed in alphabetical order by their author’s name. Following this list is an index of subjects. Articles that illuminate specific collections and collecting areas have been digitized and linked to this website. Material unrelated to Libraries’ collections has not been digitized.
