2-2-2-2 RULES

Group spaces in the Learning Commons may be reserved by students online via Office 365 calendar, HealthcareOWA calendar, or in person via touchscreen access at each room. Use of the Learning Commons group spaces is governed by the 2-2-2-2 rules:

  • A student may make up to 2 reservations per week. Any reservation that violates this policy will be declined by Library staff. Be aware that neither Office 365, or HealthcareOWA will remove the declined reservation from your calendar.
  • Reservations can be made for groups of 2 students or more. Priority will be given to groups over individuals.
  • Reservations may last up to two hours. Office 365 and HealthcareOWA will decline any reservation that lasts more than 2 hours. Be aware that neither Office 365, or HealthcareOWA will remove the declined reservation from your calendar.
  • Reservations can be made up to two weeks in advance.Office 365 and HealthcareOWA will decline any reservation made more than 2 weeks in advance. Be aware that neither Office 365, or HealthcareOWA will remove the declined reservation from your calendar.

If you would like to make a reservation that conflicts with these policies please submit your request via the Learning Commons Event Request Form.

No Show Policy

If a group has not arrived within 10 minutes of the reservation start time, the reservation will be forfeited.

Faculty & Staff

Faculty and staff who would like to use a group space should submit a request via the Learning Commons Event Request Form. Library staff will respond to your request within 3 business days.

Combined Group Rooms 1103/1105 

Users who have reserved both rooms 1103 & 1105 at the same time and would like to have the room divider opened can ask for assistance at the Main Library Service Desk at the start of their reservation. Please also ask to have the room divider closed when you are finished.

Reservable Rooms

Please make sure you are reserving group spaces located only in the Learning Commons. Reservations for spaces not on the List of Reservable Spaces will not be honored. For assistance reserving group spaces please see the Main Library Service Desk.
