Protest is a time-honored tradition at the University of Iowa. Students tirelessly stand, shout, and march in the face of injustice on our campus, in our city, our state, and our nation.
Hawkeyes have long understood the power of their voices on our campus and in our community.
In this photograph from 1999, members of the campus community are holding a rally in favor of establishing an Asian Pacific American Cultural Center at the University of Iowa. APACC was eventually founded in 2003.
