From curator Rich Dana:

Intentionally or unintentionally, many contemporary book artists are creating artwork with roots reaching back to Mallarmé. The typewriter poetry of sadé powell features cascading, layered text that pushes the borders of the page. The artist’s use of typography and open space echoes the format style of “Un coup de dés.”
