TXT-to-IM
Send us a question by TXT and receive a short answer on your cell phone. Send a TXT to the “short code” number 265010. Your message must begin with uiowalibref followed by a space. Example: uiowalibref how late is Main Library open today? We receive your TXT in our chat window, recognize it as coming from a cell phone, and send back a brief reply. Note: your phone carrier will charge your cell plan for both the outgoing and incoming TXT.
Messages are carried on non-university systems.
