The University of Iowa Libraries

All UI faculty, staff, and students are eligible to use the Interlibrary Loan service.  Books, reports, theses, microfilm, videos and other research materials not owned by the UI can often be borrowed from another library.  Requested materials for loan average 7-10 days before arrival.  Journal articles and book chapters usually arrive sooner, a week on average.

Questions about Interlibrary Loan [map] can be answered at the South Circulation Desk located on the first floor of the Main Library at the South end. Materials available for check-out can be picked up at the North Circulation Desk.
