Colophon: Of this book 475 copies have been printed from Caslon type, on Glenbourn Deckle Edge Book by D.B. Updike, The Merrymount Press, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
Bound in full blue cloth with gilt decorations on the front cover and the title on spine. gilded edges. Contains five postage stamps: 1cent Longfellow, 2 cent Whittier, 3 cent Lowell, 5 cent Whitman, and a 10 cent Riley. Mr St. Onge told Charlotte that Mr. Auslander lost his manuscript and wanted a copy of what he had written for this book. Not wanting to take the time to type it out, Mr. St. Onge sent Mr. Auslander his only copy requesting that it be returned to him. Mr. Auslander did not return it, and he died a few months later. Mr. St. Onge tried to get it from his estate, but it could not be located. Mr St. Onge had to pay $60 for another copy. B20th 3/232.

Of this book 200 copies have been printed from Garamond Type, on Linwave Text by The Stobbs Press, Worcester, Massachusetts, U.S.A.
Published to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Jefferson. Mr. St. Onge paid $127 for setting the type, paper, printing, and binding of 200 copies. In 1976 the same book would have cost $800. Mr. St. Onge told me he destroyed all but 30 copies because he was not satisfied with the work, making this book the rarest of the St. Onge miniatures. Originally sold for $1.50. In full black cloth with gilt decoration on front. B20th 4/1602.
